card. While at the site they're exposed to advertising and

traffic.

These companies are a
dime a dozen. Free web hosting companies give their customers free
server space for their website. The customer doesn't pay hosting
fees and the free web host gets to display an advertisement on their
customer's site. When the customer advertises their site, the free
web host is getting free advertising as well. It's a win win for
you and the free web hosting company.
The above companies
have two things in common. One, they all give something away for
free. Two, they get tons of traffic with no effort on their part,
and spend nothing on advertising.
